Weddings Availability 2012/ 2013

In 2012 for Saturday weddings in April, May, June, July, August, September and October are taken.

The remaining months of the year in 2012 still have lots of choice and there are plenty of fridays (except in August that is now sold out) and sundays through out the year.

We are now taking bookings for 2013 and 2014 but these dates are starting to go fast too. So give us a ring soon if there is a date you want.

From the moment you pass under the stone arch of the old coach house, to the front of the fine old Georgian Rectory, which looks out across its own lawn and garden, you will know you have found your perfect wedding venue.

Proudly independent of any large chains, we have been hosting Wedding Receptions and Parties in our variety of rooms for over 40 years, giving us the experience to take the stress out of your special day, coupled with a warm and friendly atmosphere that will leave you and your guests feeling truly at home.

Greet your guests down the red carpet, through the French windows into the fine Georgian Bramley lounge with its fabulous fire place. Mingle with your guests over a glass of Bucks fizz or Pimms in the large Ballifield drawing room, bathed in light from the high shuttered windows. Before finally sitting down to eat in the spacious Main hall, that later on becomes the perfect place for a disco, or band alongside our excellently stocked bar.

Location is a big factor in any events success. Set in its own quiet grounds, only minutes from junction 33 of the M1 yet still only 10 minutes from Sheffield city centre, this Grade II, lovingly restored, hidden gem is a great place to hold your Wedding reception large or small.

About the Old Rectory:

• Because of our independent set up we can bring the personal touch to any event and offer a truly flexible service, tailoring specific packages to your needs.
• We have a choice of 5 rooms available to hire, with capacities ranging from 5 to 150 people. For civil Ceremonies we have 4 licensed rooms, whose capacities for the ceremony are, 40, 50, 60 and 160 people , there are aditional costs for holding a civil ceremony beyond the exclusive room hire - please ask for details
• For a wedding you can have the exclusive use of all the ground floor rooms and grounds for the whole day for the amazingly low price of just £600 room hire. Or you can book any combination of any of the rooms on an hour by hour basis to build your own package.
• The Old Rectory boasts free on site parking for up to 36 cars.
• We have a well stocked fully licensed bar.
• Our excellent in house catering team can put together fantastic menus for sit down meals or hot and cold buffets
• We can help with as little or as much as you like. So for a stress free event why not use our in house florist, balloon decorator and DJ, who all have many years experience working along side the Old Rectory but equally we are happy to let you source your own options if you prefer.

We are proud of our catering here and would hope that you choose us to cater for your guests. We have four 3 course set menus for you to choose from. These range in price from £21.55 per head to £27.00, including our very popular, Roast Beef or Turkey with all the trimmings, alongside fantastic deserts like sticky toffee pudding, Tiramisu, and cheese cake. If you want to add more courses, like cheese and biscuits or coffee and mints this is no problem either. Just ask for a copy of our menus.

If you just want a buffet reception, in the day time or a night. Or you would like an evening buffet later on following an afternoon meal, our buffet prices start from £7.00 per head for a choice of excellent hot and cold spreads.

Our drinks packages start from £9 a head and include an arrival drink such as Bucks fizz, a glass of red or white wine with the meal and something sparkling for the toast. But again because of our flexible nature, if you would prefer more or less drinks, let us build you a package. You can of course just buy individual drinks from our excellently stocked bar at no more than local pub prices.

Below is an example of a full days Wedding in 2012 from 1pm to 12.30am.

(2013 prices will vary) : This isn't a package, weddings start from as little as £1500.00 many of the things below are optional.

A full wedding breakfast for 60 guests followed by an evening buffet for 100 with DJ.

Exclusive hire of the Venue

We believe the best way to enjoy your day is to make full use of the facilities by hiring the whole building for the day. This guarantees you use of the lawns, car parks and all the ground floor rooms, ensuring no one else is using the building at the same time as you.

Exclusive hire all rooms, all day Mon – Thursday - £400

Exclusive hire all rooms, all day Friday or Sunday - £525

Exclusive hire all rooms, all day Saturday £700

Exclusive hire all rooms saturday just 6pm to close - £350

Room hire for Civil ceremonies adds a further £200 onto a full day charge on Saturdays or £100 on any other day.

Just the Main Hall - hire options.

Just the Main Hall – All Day Saturday ( 9am to 12.30am ) £500

Just the Main Hall – Saturday nights ( 7pm to 12.30am ) - £210

Just the Main Hall  - All day Friday or Sunday ( 9am to 12.30am ) - £300

Additional hours between 4pm and 7pm may be added to the above for setting up or for the actual party at a cost of £20.00 per hour – any bookings before this then constitute a full day booking as it would be too early for us to fit an earlier party in the afternoon.

Terms

A bond of £200 will be taken for any wedding booking and held until after the event. The room hire includes opening the bar and setting out blank chairs and tables, no linens or decorations are included in the above cost.
